The LSO welcomes local violist Brooke Day back from England, playing Vaughan Williams’ Suite for Viola, which reflects the composer’s love for the instrument as well as popular English song and dance. Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony, described by Hector Berlioz as being “generally lively, nimble, joyous, or of a heavenly sweetness,” concludes the program.
