Wil sings pretty folk melodies with a touch of Celtic

Vancouver Island singer/songwriter Wil is “In this Together,” with his new CD.Click Hear to hear Wil
He lays down a solid 11 tracks of melodic singer-songwriter material along with lines of Rob Szabo and Danny Michel with a touch of Myles Goodwin including the catchy “Baby, Baby” which has a touch of Celtic influence.
Throughout he has a pleasant and immediately appealing tenor voice.
Wil  Mimnaugh’s spooky banjo intro to “Cooder Mountain,” ends up drawing the listener in especially with a touch of Celtic style pipes.
Steel guitar can be hard in the background as well as subdued drumming in the background.
“Uh Oh!” is  another upbeat, lilting highlight which is reminiscent of Danny Michel’s more exotic  work. The pretty vocal melody carries the last track “Together,” ending the CD on a kind of sad sounding note.
Overall, “In This Together ” is a solid and enjoyable effort.
