They have added a new drummer who gave them a little extra kick.

Most of the audience was crowded in front of the stage for a high volume show which was somewhere between the D-Rangers and a more stripped down Shred Kelly with just a touch of punk.

One tall guy in a Black Flag T-Shirt plugged his ears then gave the banjo player/ guitarist/ mandolinist a beer.
The mandolin/ guitar and banjo player broke a string on his mandolin early in the set, but fortunately Owl owner Steve Foord lent them his own mandolin.

“We’re not used to playing a venue with a  spare mandolin,” he commented.
They combined  elements of bluegrass, folk and Celtic music which had the audience bopping their heads in time to the rhythm. They were hard core fans as  most of them knew the lyrics to the songs. But they also played several new songs for their brand new CD “Piloting a Vehicle of Audible Expression.”

Opening act the Stepmothers played a strong set of upbeat, straight ahead punk music though the guitarist was drowned out.
