First up, they bring back  their popular murder mystery  game to Club Didi (#210-517a 4th Ave S.) on Wednesday, June 25.

This month, Soda Shoppe Scoop takes place in the ’50s world of Archie comics.

“It’s Archie themed, but we gave the characters a gritty reboot,” said Drama Nutz general manager David Gabert.

“So we encourage people to come out dressed in their best ’50s outfits from greaser to juke box dancer. Our favourite part is we provide pop and ice cream so you can build your own float,” he said. The show is 18 plus. It begins at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $10 at the door or $40 for five. All tickets include the cost of a free float you can make yourself.

After that the Drama  Nutz will hit the road as part of the Southern Alberta Road  Show featuring members of BullProv in Red Deer, the Loose Moose in Calgary and The Kinkonauts from Calgary.
They perform June 26 in Calgary at the impro-lab, at the Scoot Block Theatre in Red Deer, June 26 and back home in Lethbridge at Club Didi on Saturday.

“ It’s going to be great fun performing with all of these improvisers,” he said adding the Drama Nutz are  trying to make a comedy scene happen in Lethbridge just like the other groups are in their home cities.

“ Bullprov have been performing for five or six years and Loose Moose are very established,” he continued.

“We’ll be playing some of our favourite games and they'll be playing their favourites. So we're excited to learn them,” he said adding he will be joined by Greg Wilson, Brent Hutchinson and possibly Camille Pavlenko. This is the first year they have toured with the road show.

After their June 28 show they will be hosting a comedy open mic at Jimmy's Pub.
“We welcome all acts, puppetry, stand up comedy. We've even had people come up and tell knock knock jokes,” he said.
“We encourage everybody to come up and  experience their 15 minutes of fame,” he said.
