I’m not used to shows starting early, so I was disappointed I only caught the last couple of songs from Winnipeg indie folk band Yes We Mystic at the Slice, Sept. 3.
I forgot how good and how hypnotic their blend of ambient indie folk is.
They created a deliciate patchwork of sounds with some fine fiddle playing which meshed well with cello and extra keyboards, heartfelt vocals and a full drum kit this time.
It is too bad barely anybody was there to hear it.
