Elephant Light and Sound has fantastic opening with Phao.

Elephant Light  and Sound had an enjoyable kick off party at Mood, a new club  in the old O’Riley’s building. It’s a Phao put on a good show at Mood. Photo By Richard Amerypretty club with shiny hardwood floors and two good sized TVs showing hockey highlights, and a thunderous sound system which was blasting dance music.

The Jan 15 event featured live entertainment including Austria, a Austria at Mood. Photo by Richard Amerytalented Lethbridge duo who have moved to Calgary but were back home for a visit. They sang  the Cranberries’ ‘Zombie’ as well as some pretty folk style  originals which exhibited some beautiful harmonies.

A talented young local modern rock band called Phao  were up next.

They  had some cool guitar riffs and a charismatic, powerful voiced singer and a drummer who drowned out all of them, but the audience of approximately 30 could tell they were watching a tight band along the lines of the Goo Goo Dolls and Foo Fighters, who have  alot of potential.
