A variety of performers on stage for the Mamalogues

The Owl Acoustic Lounge held another popular fundraiser , March 11. Mamalogues was an evening of spoken word and song and silent auction with the money going towards the Tejus Home — an organization based in South India which helps young girls who have been abused, raped and often shunned by their families as a result.

It was darker than usual in the room so you couldn’t really see a variety of people who got up on the stage to read poems, monologues and sing songs about motherhood.

I was hoping to see a preview of Hatrix Theatre’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, coming to the Moose Hall in May 10-21, but just missed their performance.
