Teenaged actors needed for short film about high school violence

E-mail Print

Forgotten Trail Pictures is looking for  five teenaged actors to be part of a short film about violence in schools.
The five minute  short film has a  working title of “HIGHSCHOOL”.
They are looking for male and female actors 18+ passing for 17-19 years of age of all looks, shapes and sizes; several roles were written with characters in mind from different ethnic backgrounds including a non-native English speaker. They want people with strong acting abilities. Professional experience is an asset but not mandatory.
This is a dramatic narrative short about violence in a school. The film will be part of a pitch to get funding for a feature version to be shot next year. If they get funding for the feature we would like to work with the original picked cast again (although there are no guarantees).
The deadline to apply is Friday, June 24.
Those invited to casting will receive time & location details for an audition as well as sides, not to be shared
The casting will be announced Thursday, June 30 in the evening; they also welcome video submissions for those who cannot make it in person
There will be no compensation for the short but will be for the feature, if we get funding.
It is a non-union production.
Travel & accommodation expenses for out-of-town will not be covered.
They plan to shoot the short one or two days in the first or second week of August (dates to be confirmed). If the feature is produced it will take place in Summer 2017.
If you are interested, please send all pertinent info (bio, CV, headshots, demo reel if any, etc.) to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or scan the QR code.
