I only caught the last couple songs of East Vancouver stoner thrash duo Hedks at the Slice, June 27.

s is the norm for a Monday show let alone on a Monday with so many other events happening.
I missed Foam’s opening set, but caught the loud last few songs of Hedks. The female powered guitar and drums duo were reminiscent of darker and more dissonant Pack A.D. but with more metal leanings.
They had a solid backbeat and some menacing detuned riffs.
