This week is all about supporting the thriving Lethbridge music scene, which everybody should be doing as frequently as possible anyway.
But there are several big shows featuring numerous local acts and acts from Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Attainable Records host their second annual showcase series of Alberta music.
The first showcase is Thursday night, Nov. 24 at the Owl Acoustic Lounge where the fun begins at 9 wit Kvinn Douglas who will be followed by Curtis Windover who just released a Jon Martin produced Ep called “Pop Songs.” Lustre 
Creame’s Aaron Trozzo’s new project A Trozzo and the Electric Few follows that and Connor HD and the Flacs finish the night at 11 p.m. The Owl show is free, but the two other showcases taking place at Attainable Records cost $25 for a pass or $15 for each show.
The Friday, Nov. 25 showcase features several Edmonton bands. It begins at 7 p.m. with Blazed Gringo and the Man. They will be followed at 8 p.m by local post rock instrumental band Field Holler. Swift Current space rock band the Moon Runners return to Lethbridge after that. Doug will follow at 10 p.m.
Edmonton duo Beauty Rest will play at 11 p.m.
And Edmonton experimental/ soundscape band Pyramid// Indigo will close off Showcase 2 at midnight.
The third Attainable Records Showcase begins at 7:30 p.m. with Jane Doe. Calgary ambient indie rock band the Fox who Slept the Day away return to Lethbridge to play showcase three at 8 p.m. And Edmonton punk/ alternative rock band Dead Fibres play at 9 p.m.
Popular local post-punk/ drone/ alternative rock band the Bummer Club are on at 10 p.m. Calgary band Fuckboy follow at 11 p.m.
And Medicine Hat / Redcliffe based alternative rock band Swim finish up the last showcase at midnight.
The other big show is the Holiday Mash Up 2016, Nov. 26 at the Eagles Hall.
Doors open at 4:30 . Acts include alternative rock band Greyscale Manor, pop punk band Every Ounce, Roots/ folk musician Ryland Moranz, pop punk band Friends Over Fame, progressive metal band Accalia, hard rock band Outrun the Arrow, funk rock trio Adequate and pop punk band the Youngbloods.
Admission is only $10 in advance or $25 at the door with some of the proceeds being donated to Youth One.
The Smokehouse is hosting a Movember fundraising show, Nov. 26 with a 50 50 draw and live music from Shoot For Mars, Bryan Horvath and Dory and the Weathermen headlining. Admission is $5. The event begins at 4 p.m.
Another weekend fundraiser features local band Uncovered who play Coyote Joes for the Monsters PeeWee hockey team beginning at 9 p.m There is a $10 cover.
Over at Casino Lethbridge, James Oldenburg and Bandemonium will be playing a little bit of everything on Nov. 25 and 26.
And the Herb Hicks Jazz Quartet featuring Sheena Lawson return to the Mocha Cabana, on Nov 25.
For something more experimental, Unbroken Circle play the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Nov. 25.
And if you love country and roots music, Boots and the Hoots return to Lethbridge to open for Regina’s The Dead South at the Owl Acoustic Lounge. Dead South are doing a quick western Canadian tour in support of their new CD “Illusion and Doubt.” it is a special event, so tickets are $20 for the show, which begins at 9 p.m.
Those are the big shows of the week, but there is an eclectic array of other shows.
The Slice features local musician and photographer Gabriel Thaine playing Saturday, Nov. 26. at 9 p.m. There is a five dollar cover for the show.
If you want to laugh, don’t miss the Laughbridge Comedy Festival fundraiser at the Slice, Nov. 25 with Vancouver/ United Kingdom comedian Simon King and local funnyman Mav Adacer. Tickets are $20 for the show, which begins at 8:30 p.m.
And also for those in the mood to laugh, the University of Lethbridge is putting on Oscar Wilde’s classic 1895 comedy the Importance of Being Earnest in the University Theatre, Nov. 22-26 at 7:30 p.m. every night.

Coulee Brew has an interesting world music show on Nov. 25 with Nov. 25 Edmonton musician Moshin Zanman. He won the Male Artist of the Year Award at this year’s Edmonton Music awards. Zanman has Pakistani roots and was brought up in the Middle East. He has released two albums.
There is no cover for the show.
And Moose Jaw based singer/ songwriter Megan Nash returns to Lethbridge to play the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Monday, Nov. 28. She was a highlight of this year’s Love and Records and always puts on an entertaining show. There is no cover for the show.
Last, but not least, Coyote Joes brings in the rock show of the week, Saturday, Nov. 26 as the Wild! return to Lethbridge to rock your socks and melt your face.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 on the day of the show. the show begins at 9 p.m.
