“The last time we were there we were playing with the Gay ’90s and Zerbin. It was a Monday night and it was full,” related lead singer Meg Warren.

“ It was a great feeling to go to a city you have never been to before and have a show like that. It is a really nice surprise,” she enthused.

She is excited to return to Lethbridge with their new CD  “ All Lit Up” which they released in April, 2016.

“It took us two years to release the album. We worked on the songs a lot before we released it. We‘re really proud of it,” she said.

She noted the first single “ Duke” has become a crowd favourite.

“We find when we play it, if people don’t know us, they know that song, but they don’t recognize it as our song, so it is really fun to see that ” she said.

Repartee are looking forward to touring with USS.

“We opened for them in Kitchener , Ontario, then they are doing a couple of U.S. dates we couldn’t do. But we‘re joining them for the Canadian tour. We’ve been looking forward to it. The band is incredible. We‘re looking forward to playing for their audiences. We feed off the people in the crowd for our set, so we get to warm up the crowd for them. That’s what we‘re looking forward to the most,” she continued.

They have an exciting year ahead including the USS tour.

“ We’re also hoping to play some big summer festivals,” she said.

In the meantime they are writing a lot of new music in their adopted home of Toronto.

“We’ve all been living there for almost a year. It’s a so different from St. John’s. I love it. It’s awesome, she enthused.

They will be playing the new album in Lethbridge, but won’t be playing any new songs.
“No, they’re not quite ready yet, they’re still in the demo stages,” she said.
Repartee play Pulse with USS, Feb. 6 at 9 p.m.. Tickets are $20.
