They have been writing heavier music.

“We just think it’s fun to do. We all love playing guitar. But it isn’t a complete departure,” said frontman Dan Carriere, noting they still have some pop hooks in the new music, which they hope to release in the Fall.
In the meantime they have a busy year.

“We’re doing this tour, then we’re going to Austin to play SouthbySouthwest,” he continued.

“We’re staying in this weird commune, which is the way to do it,” he said adding they are playing four showcases while down there and hope to book a few more American gigs around that festival.

After that, they are playing the Great Escape festival in Brighton in the United Kingdom, which they hope to combine with some European dates to be booked.
They have never played either festival, but are excited to do it.

“ Our last single (“Soon”) had  3 million listens  on Spotify, so we’re excited to go to  these places for the first time,” he said.

They have never played with Regina’s the Pistolwhips, who will be joining them for most of the current tour.

“ We’ve never seen them before, but we’ve been listening to them online. We’re excited to see them first hand,” he said, adding they always enjoy playing Lethbridge.

“We’ve met a lot of great people and met a lot of good friends in Lethbridge, so we’re looking forward to seeing them all again,” he continued.

The show begins at 8 p.m. at Coyote Joes, March 1.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
