Birch Barks explore Radiohead-like indie rock

E-mail Print PDF

I was hoping to see Phoenix based indie pop musician R Ariel at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Nov. 15, but unfortunately just missed her set.

I arrived in time for local band Birch Barks, who I hadn’t seen for a while.

They played a tight set of indie rock  with a heavy Radiohead feel. So there was plenty of chiming, delay laden guitars with plenty of layers and haunting vocals.

They had a decent sized crowd cheering them on.
