While I missed local band W.I.T.S and Windsor duo Partner, I was just in time for an intense set with Duchess Says.

They played a frenetic set of synth powered punk and alternative rock music featuring the manic energy and crazy eyes of lead singer A Claude, who bounced all over the stage, shrieked, howled and power scatted weird vocalizations as she struck at her keyboard and jumped into the crowd who crouched at her request for a sing for which she crouched with them. She welcomed members of opening act W.I.T.S on stage with her early in the set.

Her band mates played tightly, and switched instruments throughout the short, loud and sweet set of intense dissonant synth powered noise, which reminded me of Calgary‘s the Shiverettes, but powered by keyboards.
