“We weren’t life long friends or anything. We formed explicitly to make music, and were brought together through Kijijii ads”  said guitarist Chris McCrimmon, noting they formed in 2016. They are excited to embark on their first big tour, which takes them out to Prince Edward Island and back.

“ The furthest east we’ve ever been in Saskatchewan,” he said.

He is joined by guitarist Scott Cressman, bassist Mike Jones, Drummer Patricio Paulsen and vocalist  Matt Yeomans.
While the band is looking forward to the party on the road, they know their limits.

“We‘re actually pretty straight edge. Except for Matt. We’ll like to pour a few beers in him before the show and see what happens,” McCrimmon chuckled.

They are more excited to visit some new places.
“We‘re really excited about seeing Ontario and Nova Scotia and checking out the music scenes there. We know the Calgary scene pretty well but we want to hear what is going on over there,” he said.

They are touring in support of their debut EP “ Graceless.”
He said the EP explores lot of different styles of music and featured plenty of big riffs crammed into shorter songs.

“ We really found our sound on this CD. It does sound real,” he said, adding the live show is different from the CD.

“We believe if you want to hear the songs as they are, then just buy the CD. The live show is s a surprise. We have a couple of new songs we’re playing. The live show is more of a party.  There‘s more jamming though we don’t jam like progressive rock or stoner rock bands can,” he said, adding he is looking forward to touring with Winnipeg technical death metal band  Anomalism for the first part of the tour and fellow Calgarians Dethereous for the second part of the tour through Manitoba and Ontario and PEI.
The bands begin at  8 p.m., at the Slice, July 30. Admission is $10.
