Hippodrome played their annual show at the Slice, Saturday, Jan. 4. As expected, it was sold out, though it didn't look like it.
Hippodrome are always a safe bet for those revellers who want to dance and party all night long.
They played their usual strong set of R and B pop and disco music.
Juran Greene, Erica Hunt and Shawna Romolliwa alternated on lead vocals with everybody singing harmonies.
Hunt and bassist Paul Holden had rushed over to the Slice after the closing night of New West Theatre’s winter production of “Celebration.”
Juran Greene belted out a rousing version of Kool and the Gang’s “Celebration”
Hunt sang a beautiful version of The Zutons/Amy Winehouse’s “ Valerie.”
Romolliwa belted out “Boogie Nights.”
