Pigs is Canada's most authentic live Pink Floyd tribute. What have we got that the others don't?

1. The right people: Most Pink Floyd acts feature one person as the front-man - much like Pink Floyd were in the 80s and 90s. We recreate the band as they existed in the 1970s, and each member portrays one character.

2. The right gear: We try to replicate as closely as possible the instruments and backline used by Pink Floyd. This means we look and sound more like the real thing. Pretty simple.

3. The right age: We're not the same age as members of Pink Floyd are now; we're the same average age (30) as the Floyd were on their 1977 tour. We're young, hungry for success, and exciting to watch on stage.

4. The right era: Frankly, we are tired of tribute bands emulating Pink Floyd as they were on the PULSE tour in the 90s. Instead we replicate the lights, look, and sound of the Floyd's stage show in the 1970s. Of course, we still play songs from the 60s and 80s, but we do everything in the spirit of the band as they were at their creative peak in the 1970s.

We think you'll agree!

Our Band:

Josh

Josh is the band's musical director, and the ever-important lead singer and axe-wielder in the group. He takes the duty of sounding like David Gilmour very seriously and thus never ceases to tinker with his effects and guitar gear.

Geoff

Geoff in a moment of serendipity had downloaded all of the Floyd's albums only hours before he was asked to join PIGS. He's been working on his sneers and quick, bird-like movements - and he has already announced that he is PIGS, in true Roger style.

Adam

Adam sent me an email one day saying he knew "every one of Rick Wright's keyboard parts like the back of (his) hand." This seemed like a tall order but from the first organ crunch we knew we had our Rick. Watch also for his emulation of Syd Barrett.

Iain

Iain grew up in the English Riviera of the Thames Delta, a short drive south of the leafy greenlands of Grantchester Meadows. Many sunrises have been spent listening to Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii, many more to come.

Jon

Jon is the perfect fifth man. Much like Snowy White before him, Jon is the unsung hero, the man tying up the loose ends. Jon fills this challenging role in Pigs: a part which requires him to be adept at playing electric guitar, bass, and occasionally even keyboards. A talented young man with his goldtop and AC30, Jon can play just about anything under the sun and rarely breaks a sweat as he helps us create the most accurate Floydian sounds possible.

Anneda

Anneda is the band's extremely talented backup singer. She doesn't portray one single member of the band the way the rest of the Pigs do, but rather represents the best of everything the Floyd's singers had to offer. Amy brings the house down with her incredible version of "Great Gig in the Sky" at every single show.

Dave

Dave plays saxophone for Pigs, much the same way Dick Parry did for many years.
