Mother Sun is a four piece band from the interior desert of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The band combines deliberate and interesting song arrangement with a measured amount of experimental absurdity, resulting in an abstract yet engaging sound that touches on elements of psych rock, jazz, surf and post-punk.
The band’s debut full length release Caramel Clouds showcases this across ten tracks, and was released August 23rd, 2019. It was recorded at Little Red Sounds in Vancouver, BC with owner and producer Felix Fung.

Makiisma: A doom folk group from Lethbridge, Alberta, Makiisma derives its unique sound from a combination of heavy riff-driven melodies and unexpected melodic changes all topped with haunting vocals and energetic keys. Founded by Megan Brown in the spring of 2017, Brown (an accomplished violinist) brings together elements of the classical world with her passion for heavy, raw, expressive music to create songs that fall somewhere between Portishead, Black Mountain, and death gospel artist Chelsea Wolfe. Makiisma is currently recording their debut album 'Lady Misery' which will be released early next year.
