It’s not Halloween yet, but there will be creepies a crawling in Galt Gardens, Oct. 4. It’s time for the third annual Zombie Walk, which begins at 5:30. for zombies of all ages. Even families of zombies are welcome to participate.
“It’s just something different and fun for people who are into horror movies. There’s no cause or any point being made. It’s just a bunch of people getting together and having fun,” organizer Dino Scavo adding so far, 180 people confirmed their attendance on the Zombie walk Facebook group.
“That’s quite a bit more than last year. It’s got  bit of  a reputation,” he said adding he’d rather not see Zombie hunters this year.
“I don’t want there to be any bad blood between people,” Scavo said.
“The first year they surprised us. It was kind of fun. But the second year there were a lot more of them. And they were firing projectiles. They were pretty good. They did stop when we asked them to. Most of them,” Scavo said.

“It’s a zombie walk, not a zombie hunt,” he continued adding they are welcome to organize a hunt afterward and some of the zombies would love to be involved with something like that.
“More importantly, there were kids there and we don’t want kids maimed or injured,” he emphasized adding poeple of all ages are welcome to participate, dress up and congregate at Galt Gardens.
“I haven’t had time to prepare a costume.I’ll throw something together at the last minute,” Scavo said who was dressed as a zombie with Cds sticking out of his head last year.
 The fun ends at the Slice, with local psychobilly band the Phantom Creeps, Grave Mistake and Montreal psychobilly band the Brains, who have played the past three zombie walks though not intentionally.

 

“Their schedule just worked this year,” Scavo said.
