It was a slow night at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, March 23 for an Electric Eye Fundraising event featuring Hush Pup, Backhomes and Astral Swans.
 I arrived in time to watch Astral Swans’ opening set.

 It was just Matthew Swann and his electric guitar singing his mournful, sad songs which sounded like a stripped down Shins.

 The audience of approximately 30 people were surprisingly attentive as more often than not constant chatter relegate live music to background music.
But everybody was listening carefully.
