Good nights for Kidney foundation

The ‘Just Cuz’ fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation of Canada at the Sterndale Bennett Theatre, Feb. 5  featured a lot of talented and hilarious performers. Photo by Richard Amery donation in between performances of  a variety of  songs including popular hits like “Don’t Stop Believing,” and “Landslide,”  and traditional  songs like ‘Danny Boy’ in addition to some really funny jazz tinged numbers like  ‘Welcome to Kindergarten,” which included special guest Erica Hunt, usually seen performing with New West theatre. Several other New West performers were also part of the show including Scott Carpenter and Jessica Ens.

Outside the Sterndale Bennett, there were a variety of articles up for grabs in a silent auction including hockey  memorabilia, gift baskets, golf packages and a lot more. The event was nearly sold out on both nights, Feb. 5-6, and is expected to raise a similar amount of money as previous years. All of it stays in Southern Alberta to help patients with kidney problems.
