The three musicians each have their own individual styles, which they showed as they each took turns performing this stop of the “May Three Way” tour and sometimes accompanying each other during the show which was equal parts country music, book reading, poetry slam and stand up comedy.

In addition to singing songs, telling stories and reciting poems in the case of Kris Demeanor, they also read passages  from their newly published “How To” Booklets— Carolyn Mark’s “How To be a Boozy Chanteuse,” “ Geoff Berner’s “How To Be An accordion player,” and Kris Demeanor’s “How to be an Asshole of Calgary.”

Geoff Berner’s contributions were plenty of accordion, thought provoking political diatribes , jokes  and humourous ditties like one called “Phoney Drawl.”

Demeanor had the most diverse contribution, using his turn at centre stage to sing, recite poetry and read from his booklet as well as adding some tasteful lead guitar to the other’s contributions.
