Silence Factory have a lot of fun making a lot of noise

The Slice was shaking Friday, May 22 with a Trozzo and the Electric Few, Medicine Hat’s “Bad Animal and Windsor , Ontario based hyperactive rock trio the Silence Factory.

I missed Bad Animal, but caught A Trozzo and the Electric Few’s tour opening set of original rock and roll.

The trio including Aaron Trozzo on vocals and guitar, bassist Tyler Stewart and drummer Clayton Smith, played plenty of big riffs and were a lot of fun as always, enjoying a tight set to the delight of a decent sized crowd.
They sounded like a mixture of Tool and Deep Purple. One of the newer songs reminded me of “Space Trucking.”

I ended up missing much of the Silence Factory, but arrived back in time to catch them playing their new single “High”, as frontman Nathan McNevin jumped high and tossed his guitar in the air.

They had the essence of a loud, detuned Silverchair with a touch of Finger 11 experimental metal and a whole lot of punk intensity.
