And while Covid is once again running rampant there are several  exciting Halloween celebrations this weekend. Of course attendance is limited due to Covid.

In addition to the usual open mics at Beaches on Wednesday and the Slice On Thursday and Steve Keenan hosting the open mic at Honker’s Pub on Friday night, there are several events with live entertainment going on.
Halloween starts early at the Slice on Wednesday where Stephen Brooks will be hosting a Goth pumpkin carving night beginning at 8 p.m.

It doesn’t get any more Halloween than ’70s and ’80s horror punk the Misfits, so some local musicians including Devin Gergel have formed a a Misfits tribute 138, who will be performing at the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Oct. 31 with local punk band Berserker and at the Slice, Oct. 30.
The Slice has their own Halloween extravaganza with the Mark Hall Band on Oct. 31.
There is a $10 cover for that show.

Uncovered return to Pops Pub South for Halloween as well. There is no cover for that show.

Steve Keenan hosts a pre-Halloween open mic at Honker’s Pub, Oct. 30.

And The Dark Wrangler return to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Oct. 30.

For laughter, El Salvador born Toronto based  comedian,  Marito “Papi” Lopez performs at Good Times,  Oct. 30 for two shows at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for those shows. Johnny Pogo takes the stage for Halloween.

Didi’s Playhaus has also planned Didi’s Halloween Spooktacular, Oct. 31 with sketches, improv, musical guests, candy and more. Tickets are $16 for the show, which begins at 7 p.m. Unfortunately this special outdoor event is now sold out.
