There were a couple of excellent shows on Friday.
I caught the end of Alyssa McQuaid’s set of country/ pop music at the Mocha Cabana, Aug. 31.
She was playing to a surprisingly good sized long weekend crowd on the darkened Mocha Cabana patio.
She has a beautiful voice as always and accompanied herself on the guitar.
She ended her set with a new original, one of my favourites from the last CD “Stay Beautiful,” and , of, course, her superb version of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” to end the night.
