Thee Attacks are excited about  seeing Canada  in the winter on their first Cross-Canadian tour which begins with several Toronto area shows, on Nov. 15.
“Get ready to be attacked by thee Attacks,” enthused Thee Attacks vocalist/ guitarist Jimmy Attack.
 They play Nov. 23, at Bo Diddly’s with The Reason and Sophmore Jakes.
 The band formed seven years ago while they were in high school.

 The Copenhagen, Denmark based rock and roll band are excited about spreading the  spirit of  ’60s rock  like the Who and pre-punk like The Stooges, MC5 and the Sonics  to Canada. The also add more modern influences like fellow northern rockers the Hives, with whom they are playing a few gigs around Toronto.

“We are playing Cambridge and Toronto and driving out to Vancouver, but we’ve only seen the inside of clubs,” he said.

“In Denmark, it is flat, so we are looking forward to seeing some real nature. What we are really looking forward to is seeing some nature and driving through the Rocky Mountains,” he said.
 He is excited about touring Canada for the first time.

“Not to sound like an ass licker, but In Canada rock and roll is more legal. People are very open to the sounds we play. In Denmark, rock and roll is frowned upon. It is more mainstream in Canada,” he observed.

 He noted back home in Denmark’s capital, there is a lot of  electronica music, pop music and harder rock, so the Attacks stand out.

“ There is a core of us who play rock and roll,” he said.

They feed off each other’s live energy both  in live performances and in songwriting.

“Either the lead guitarist Terry or I will bring in a riff or song idea into the rehearsal studio and we’ll all work on it together as a group,” he said.
“We really like the energy. We like real performances. We don’t want to bring a computer on stage to play rhythms. We need that real energy. Rock and roll is what we like. So it was natural for us,” he continued.

“So expect a really energetic live performance. It will be part of the experience,” he said.
