Treeline and Shaela Miller kicked off their tour in Lethbridge at the Slice, Saturday, May 31 with their usual impressive set of Treeline originals, revamped Shaela Miller originals and classic country covers. They had a Lethbridge flag to use as their backdrop, which is also on their new tour T-shirts.

 The first set included a combination of original Treeline songs, an amped up version of Shaela Miller’s solo number “I Don’t Have a Friend in You No More,” and a couple of obscure county covers including Hank Williams’ Lovesick Blues  sung by Shaela Miller and which they boosted the tempo. “ Broke Down Poor” was another highlight.

 Shaela Miller sang most of songs in the first set though drummer Tyler Bird sang three in a row.
 Guitarist Taylor Ackerman sang“ Single Again”  and Ryan Dyck, alternating between playing bass and pedal steel guitar, sang the rest with all four harmonizing.

“ Loving Me,” was another highlight as were covers of “She Came Around Last Night” and the crowd favourite — a cover of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson's “I Can Get Off on You” sung by Ryan Dyck.
They ended their set with their own song  “Michael.”

Carmanah from Victoria opened  the show with a great mix of indie rock and country featuring some very fine toe tapping electric fiddle playing.

They had a lot of people dancing to rootsy melodies and fine fiddle playing from  , who switched to a  Stratocaster or the last couple of songs. She had a cute, appealing voice and  a lot of catchy songs.

Guitarist Pat Ferguson sang the last couple of songs while Mitic harmonized. Their great hippieish groove attracted a lot of dancers to the floor who shouted out for more as they finished their set. for the enthusiastic crowd of approximately 75.
