Johnny G and the Spots played the Slice, April 17 to raise money for the Heliocentric Radio theatre workshop — a new series of original radio plays to  air on CKXU 88.3 f.m. in September.

 The trio including Johnny Greenshields on guitar and vocals, Steve Martin on bass and Keenan Pezderic on drums, played a laid back set of blues infused jam rock for approximately 40 people.

They had a solid groove, some tasteful guitar solos and a couple short bass solos.
