Isobel Trigger introduce new material on jam night

It’s always a pleasure to see Victoria synth-rock band Isobel Trigger, who visited the Slice again to host the TuIsobel Trigger's Felicity Harding. Photo by Richard Ameryesday open mic, Aug. 25 on a sinister, smoky, red mooned Lethbridge evening.

I’ve caught bits and pieces of their previous three Lethbridge visits and luckily caught most of their first set of mostly brand new music.

They’re powered by the spooky, ethereal vocals of lead singer Felicia Harding’s synth and powerful pipes reminiscent of Blondie’s Debbie Harry with a  touch of Ann Vriend’s jazz, not to mention the relentless rhythm of drummer Ariel Tseng and Ryan Salmond's bass groove.
Guitarist Brett Faulkner added subtle guitar as well as spooky slide on a home made steel guitar which added to the spooky aura of Harding’s voice.
One of the highlights was ”Carry On” about perseverance.”
