As expected, things slow down the week before Christmas, especially with Christmas  falling on the weekend.

But if you feel the need to get out and move your feel and listen to live music, there are a couple of options, especially if you have visitors from out of town.

Darryl Düus, bluesman extraordinaire is home for the holidays and playing the blues for you, Dec. 22 at the Slice with the Gentlemen of Leisure and local rock band the Juxtaposers.
The show begins at 9 p.m. and there is a $10 cover for the show.

And local country band Rancho Deluxe will be playing a Christmas Eve Eve show at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Dec. 23. They play roots/ folk and alternative country music and are always a good time.

The show begins at 9 p.m. There is no cover for the show,
And New West Theatre’s production of Tinsel  continues at the Yates Theatre until Dec. 31. So don’t miss it if you want to put a little love in your heart.
