“ It’s been a while since we’ve toured. I’ve seen every movie and TV show on Netflix,” chuckled frontman/ lead guitarist Devon  Bjarnason to the enthusiastic audience., Bjarnason, backed by bassist D’Arcy Booth  and drummer Rod Anderson eased into an entertaining first set. They started off playing acoustically with D’Arcy Booth taking up an acoustic guitar while Anderson sat, slapping on a Cajon box drum, looking blissed out.

They slowly picked up the tempo into a more electric vein as Booth picked up his bass, Bjarnason picked up an electric guitar and Anderson put a garden gnome on the box drum as he took a seat behind his drum kit.

Most of the set was original music other than a pretty cover of Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic,” which began the electric part of the first set.

Bjarnason played tasteful guitar solos throughout, letting loose as he sat down to play an electric dobro for “Broken Man Blues,” which was one of the highlights of the set from their most recent  2015 CD “The Wind.”

They played much of that including the title track and “Home Made Wine.”

“We don’t have any of these left. We printed off 5 million of these and sold all of them,” Bjarnason laughed to the enthusiastic crowd who were  giving him a  good natured hard time for taking so long to come back to Lethbridge.

They played a couple new songs he promised would be on the next CD.

“We’ll release in in 2030 when we come back to Lethbridge,” he joked.

An older song from their first album drew a lot of applause from the audience.
He switched to a 12 string guitar for a newer song featuring  a hot slide solo to wind down his set.
