Ivory Hours play hot set of pop for sparse audience

Though the Fox Who Slept the Day Away stayed away from the Slice upon seeing barely a dozen people in the audience, Saturday, Oct. 7, the show went on for London, Ontario based alternative rock/ pop band Ivory Hours.Ivory Hours’ Luke Roes playing the Slice, Oct. 7. Photo by Richard Amery

They played an excellent show for the appreciative audience of hook filled set of music, mostly from their new CD “Dreamworld.”

Frontman Luke Roes sang in appealing tenor voice which reminded me of Danny Michel , especially with some of the more world music influenced songs.

Their addictive new single “Shadow Kids, came mid way through the set.
“Pain” was a highlight as was the set ending “Living in a Dream World.”
