Guitarist extraordinaire Daryll  Düus always makes the most of his visits home. He played several shows with Papa King over the past couple weeks and returned to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Friday, Sept. 28 with his own band including Brady Valgardson on drums, bassist Alex Thomson and a guitarist I didn’t recognize. He also had Evan Uschenko playing lead guitar, leaving nothing for Düus to do but belt out the blues in his big, gravelly voice and play harp, though he donned the axe for his always fun cover of “Rolling and Tumbling” after which he took a long set break.

He’ll be back at the Owl Acoustic Lounge again on Oct. 13 with Papa King.
