Laughs and live music in Raymond this week

Things are starting to happen in Lethbridge again.
 This week, Good Times brings some of their favourite comedians to the Theoretically Brewing patio from 8-11 p.m.. Performers include Brian Dawdiuk, Ainsley McPhail and Jordi Bott Johnny Pogo, who has his own show at Good Times on Aug. 28.

Good Times features the roast of  Victor Iyliade, On Friday, Aug. 21 beginning at 9 p.m.. Tickets are $20.


 Good Times features Charles Haycock on Saturday, Aug. 21 for two shows, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.


 Comedy open mics return to the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Aug. 16. The yuks begin at 8 p.m. on the patio.

For live music, Beaches has a Wednesday open mic and the Slice has their open mic on Thursdays.

 Mercedes Fawns and a trimmed down line up of her band will be playing an acoustic show at the Slice, Friday, Aug. 21.

Just down the road, local bands will be playing a mini-music festival in Raymond at the Victoria Sports Park, Saturday, Aug. 22.

 Local blues rock band CODA, Raymond folk rock/classic rock band Saints and Sinners and rock/pop/jazz/country band Between Skies will be playing at Victoria Park in Raymond beginning at 1:30 p.m.


They will be playing 45 minute sets, beginning at 1:30 p.m., 3:35 p.m. 5:30 p.m. and the last set beginning at 7:30 p.m.
To keep numbers within Covid outdoor event guidelines, three hour tickets will be sold for $10 for single or $25 per family.


Each band will perform a 45 minute set every hour on the hour. Local acts will perform between band sets. There will also be local food trucks and vendors including favourites like Hickory Street, Jerry's Pop Shop, Flyin Hawaiian and more.
