It is a good week for open mics as well. Paul Kype is hosting a blues jam at the Slice on Tuesday and Tom and Curt are playing the Front Row Pub Friday and Saturday, so they are also hosting an open mic there on Thursday in addition to the usual open mics at Beaches and the Good Earth  Coffee house. The Folk Club also has their  open mic on Friday beginning at 8 p.m.

Good Earth is also starting to feature more acoustic acts. Bridgette Yarwood is playing with one of her students at the Good Earth on May 26.
There is another CD release party this week as well.
Local emo rock band the Darby and Joan Club are releasing their latest CD at the Slice, May 28.
And Mobaddass is back at the Blarney Stone, May 31. Featuring Wide Mouth Mason bassist Earl Pereira, Mobaddass brings the funk to the rock with a little bit of reggae and a touch of dance.
