Warren G played to an energetic crowd at the Blarney Stone, June 4. Photo by Richard AmeryThough I am by no means a big fan of rap music, I couldn’t resist an opportunity to hear rap legend Warren G at the Blarney Stone, June 4, just  because he grew up with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
A good sized crowed writhed in front of the stage, which Warren G completely owned.

He stalked the stage like a panther, paced back and forth  and took turns rapping and singing in between profanity laden rants and call outs to the crowd.

He told a few stories about hanging with Snoop and Nate Dogg and played some  of the music from 213, the group he  formed  in the early ’90s with them.
He also performed a couple newer tracks from his latest Cd including ‘Let’s Get High’  from his latest CD ‘The G Files.’ He got a lot of the audience singing/ shouting along with him and ended his set around 1:30 a.m. by calling out ‘Much love Lethbridge.’
