All of the stage and most of the floor was taken up by the three bands’ equipment, which made it a very tight squeeze.

Regina based singer songwriter Northcote, aka Matthew Goud, former Means and The Emerson Letters frontman, started the evening off strong with a solid set of melodic, acoustic music, then brought his band up on stage for an excellent set of indie-pop tinged folk which had a good portion of the audience up and dancing and it probably wasn’t just because there wasn’t a seat to be had in the place.

Unfortunately I missed Yukon Blonde and the Wooden Sky because there were several other shows I wanted to see, however they were all wrapped up by 11 p.m. when I returned.
