The Perms on a sugar fueled high on Sofia Nights

Print
The Perms play just about perfect pop music on their fifth CD “Sofia Nights.”Click here to hear the Perms.
They combine elements of Treble Charger, Weezer and even the Buzzcocks for a beautiful slice of sugary, crunchy  ’90s-style guitar powered punk pop.
They have a basket full of great guitar hooks, catchy melodies and superb vocal harmonies.
The melodies are breezy and addictive and after you are done a scant half hour late you just want another helping.
They begin on a “High” note on High School High,” and it only gets better from there.
There are a couple stand outs like the Cheap Trickish “Live For the Day,” and “Said and Done.”
It is the type of feel good CD you just want to blast on your car stereo with the windows down as you cruise the main drag with a bunch of your buddies.
