Stage Host: Dory Rossiter

Dory Rossiter is the Weather Anchor/Community Coordinator for CTV Lethbridge. She is very active in supporting not-for-profit groups and charities and sits on many community boards and committees. She also sings with the cover band “HORIZON”.

11:00 am       DNR

DNR is a Lethbridge classic rock band which began in 2006 when two ER physicians, guitarist Wes Orr and drummer Kevin Martin, got together and decided to jam to relieve stress. They recruited other doctors they work with, guitarist and kidney specialist Morley Wong, Rob Strank, bassist, vocalist and family doctor, and to round out the line up Kirsten Jones a general surgeon who is a vocalist. They play the hits of the ’60s to today.

12:30 pm      Coda Blues 

Formed in 2015, CODA is a Blues/Classic Rock band working out of Lethbridge, Alberta. The band consists of Sheldon Shukaliak – Guitar/vocals, Cory Rasmussen – Keyboards/vocals, Rick Maddeaux – Bass/vocals, Ben Lamb – Drums.

1:30 pm        Global Drums

Global Drums is comprised of community members and university students who share a passion and interest for world percussion. Founded in 2005 with a group of four, Global Drums has grown to over 50+ members. Based in Lethbridge, Alberta, the group performs percussion music from around the world including, Steel Band, Polynesian Ensemble, African Drumming & Dancing, Japanese Taiko Group, Brazilian Samba Batteria and Classical Percussion Ensemble. 

2:00 pm    HORIZON

HORIZON is a five-piece cover band that plays a variety of rock, country, blues, and pop. Members include Keith Duff on drums, Bill Weiler on guitar and vocals, Bruce MacKay on keyboards and vocals, Bob Peters on bass and vocals and Dory Rossiter on lead vocals. Music should be fun to do, provide lots of smiles and fill the soul. Not just a band, but good friends as well!

3:00 pm   LCI Arts Academy Dance

LCI Dance academy is a high level dance program at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute? Dancers train in all styles for the duration of the year and incredible opportunities throughout the year to work with celebrated Canadian dance artists and perform in multiple venues throughout Lethbridge. 3:30 pm   LCI Jazz band

The LCI Gold Jazz Band has had an active performing year; the Dragon Boat Festival is their 19th performance for the year! They’ve performed at two music festivals and have received superior ratings at both festivals. This year brings new beginnings with a collaboration with the LCI Arts Academy Dance and we are excited to show some of that to you today!

4:00 pm    Expressions Dance

Developing excellence in dance, in a fun, encouraging, caring, and professional environment, Expressions Dance offers classes for ages 2 through Adult. With styles in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro, Strength/Flexibility Training, as well as Ballet Exams with the Royal Academy of Dance. Competitive and Recreational classes, from Beginner to Advanced. Come dance with us!

Formed in October 2018 Lethbridge’s newest band Lawless Murphy has a full night selection of music from the 50s straight thru into the the milleniumm… From Two steppin’ country to blazing 80s hair metal ballads to today’s top hits..Lead vocals/keys/saxaphone – Cameron Clark..Lead Guitar-Kevin Vezina… Drums-Mike Hoffman… Bass Duane Kiever…

This band of  2 brothers and good friends have over 100 years of combined pro musical experience. 3 of the 4 members were playing 6 nights a week in “A” circuit venues across Canada during the 80’s while the 4th member found himself playing with one of Canada’s guitar greats, Colin James in the early 2000s. Together they call themselves “Old School” – playing hit after hit from the 70’s to the 90’s, guaranteeing a good time for all.

Alyssa McQuaid and Coyote Junction create an ensemble of talented musicians supplemented with excellent harmonies. Together their passion, talent, and drive collides to form something truly memorable and special. A stylistically unique Country Rock party band from day one, the members of Alyssa McQuaid and Coyote Junction have been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Throughout the course of the band’s union, they have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life.

Henderson Lake Park is a 47 hectare (117 acre) blend of relaxed leisure 
and active recreation opportunities concentrated around a 60 acre 
man-made lake. Paved and shale walking trails border Henderson 
Lake, along with playgrounds, rest areas and picnic sites. 
Concession is open during the summer months.  
Henderson Park has been a focus of civic pride for more than 85 
years. Originally developed for the 7th International Dry-Farming 
Congress in 1912, it continues to be an attraction for special event 
celebrations. The lake itself was originally a large slough. William 
Henderson, the Mayor of Lethbridge during the early preparations 
for the Farming Congress, was instrumental in initiating the 
concept of Henderson Lake and a surrounding park.  
 It is home to  the annual Dragon Boat Festival in july as well as Canada Day celebrations.
