Jordan Clermont www.myspace.com/jordanclermont is a Canadian Singer/Songwriter influenced by a
wide-range of musical styles and artists. As a result his music also
covers a wide-range of genre's from Beatle-esque acoustic pop songs to
hard rock and heavy metal songs with riffs that recall the classic rock
era.
"Back in the 60's and 70's the most popular bands were the ones who were
constantly pushing boundaries and defying the genres pushed upon them
by critics and fans. It wasn't uncommon to hear a band like Led Zeppelin
go from a hard rock song like Heartbreaker to a soft folk-acoustic
ballad like The Rain Song. Nowadays it seems that most bands stay in
their niche and don't dare to take risks and try different musical
styles. Of course there are a few like Radiohead and The White Stripes
which coincidentally? are two of the biggest and most critically
acclaimed bands in modern times. My goal is too play the type of music I
like and hope that people enjoy it not the other way around."
The Old York Tavern is where Bobby Johns and the Wooden Kilt used to be.
