Craig Cardiff (born 9 July 1976) is a Canadian folk musician from Waterloo, Ontario, who is known for his engaging stage presence, enormous song catalogue, soft voice & digital live sampling of vocal and guitar loops.

Cardiff was born to a musically talented family of Judy + Charles Cardiff, along with three sisters, Catherine, Susan and Elizabeth, who sometimes accompany him on his recorded albums.

He and his daughter Rowan live in Arnprior, Ontario in an old farmhouse looking onto the Madawaska River with their dog Bear and cat Mordechai.
He is also known for his unusual and innovative policy towards the distribution of music, opting for more circulation and awareness, rather than simply monetary gain.

The songwriter enjoys a reputation for finding innovative ways to record and distribute music; his 2008 release "Mistletoe" was recorded entirely using the iPod / iPad application Octopod and in October 2010, Cardiff released the EP "Songs for Lucy" as a free download on his website, www.craigcardiff.com.

He displays this in the formatting of his 2007 CD Goodnight (Go Home) in which he included another CD with sample tracks to give to a friend so as to spread the music.  His songs have been featured in several documentaries and films, including the popular Netherlands series 'Hello Goodbye'.
