Journey back in time at the Empress Theatre with this special showing of Buster Keatonrobert-bruce-photo-2011-04 films with live music performed by composer/pianist Robert Bruce. Watch silent movies the way they would have played in the Empress back in the 1920s. Enjoy the ambience our Fort Macleod forefathers experienced. Come and join us for this special evening.

* The evening will feature two short films and one 44 minute film

Composer/pianist Robert Bruce has presented over 300 silent film/live music events since 2002. He has carefully selected classic 1920s silent films and focuses on producing high quality music that interacts seamlessly with each special moment of each special film.

Robert Bruce has composed music for children and many other pieces since the 1970s. His piano repetoire is also used by all major music conservatories in Canada including the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He also performs in many music festivals each year and has composed pieces for film, television, animation, healing and meditation music, ensemble works and orchestra works and many more.
