Splice Stevie Nicks, Sarah Harmer and Jeff Tweedy into one musical entity, sprinkle in Feist's charm, and you have
Victoria native, Steph Macpherson's deadly-infectious, harmony-saturated folk/pop style.
Steph released her Folk/Pop EP “To You” in Nov. ’09 resulting in 2010 performances that included: Lilith Fair, Western

Canadian Music Awards, Rifflandia Festival, Blue Sky Festival, 100.5FM the PEAK Performance Project Top 20,

Canadian Music Week in Toronto and two Western Canada tours.
Steph's recent shows include opening for Jon and Roy, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald and Hannah Georgas. She has an
upcoming June tour in BC/AB, followed by a performance on the lawn of the Legislature in Victoria for Canada Day.
Since releasing her first EP she has added opening for Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Colbie Caillat,
Erykah Badu, Tom Cochrane, Colin James, and Men Without Hats to her repertoire of performances that already
included the likes of Jesse Winchester, Leeroy Stagger, Greg Macpherson, Yukon Blonde, Aidan Knight, and Vince
Vaccaro.
Steph’s folk/pop album “To You” is in rotation on CBC Radio One, CBC Radio 3, Vancouver’s The PEAK 100.5 FM,
Alberta’s CKUA, Alberta’s CKUA, Evolution 107.9 (BCIT), CJSF (SFU), Village 900 (Camosun), CJUM (UofM), CHRW
(UWO), 92.5FM TheX (TRU) and IndieCan Radio; she has also received interviews and/or on-air performances with CTV
News, eTalk Daily, The PEAK 100.5, CBC Radio 3, Victoria's Zone FM and Calgary’s Mix 97.7.
This BC born Kiwi-Canadian singer-songwriter began her endeavor into the world of music at the early age of four,
with voice and piano lessons. After seeing The Little Mermaid for the first time, she knew she wanted to be a singing
mermaid.

When she failed to grow a fin, she picked up a guitar, turned to songwriting, and began pursuing music as a human.
“The back-porch violin is good and the acoustic guitar pleasant enough, but what makes "Keeping Time" a gorgeous
slice of country-folk is Steph Macpherson’s voice. Move over, Be Good Tanyas—there’s a new gun in town.” - Georgia

Mike Edel http://www.mikeedel.com/

http://mikeedel.bandcamp.com/track/bottom-floor-apartment

With his debut The Last Of Our Mountains, Edel has learned that home, love and youthfulness are neither innocent nor simple.  Born in rural Alberta, his youth was spent between rocky mountains and vast wheat fields. These landscapes shaped the album; a sharp and urgent collection of 8 songs that give way to the adventurous, compassionate and delicate.

Produced by Vancouver’s Winston Hauschild (Hannah Georgas, Hey Ocean), the making of The Last Of Our Mountains saw, a new human being birthed, the last use of Mushroom Studio’s vintage gear, an emergency trip to the hospital and many passages across the Strait of Georgia. The collection is bookended by Bottom Floor Apartment, in which smiles reassure and The Country Where I Came From where the longing for the idea of home and infinite possibilities of youth and love grow narrow.  Mike Edel has since relocated from his family’s wheat farm to the seaside city of Victoria BC, where he has quickly formed a personal and musical home.

Mike Edel is no stranger to touring, he has toured across Western Canada 5 times and the Pacific Coastal States on 3 occasions.  Since relocating to Victoria, Edel has grown to be one of the city’s best singer/songwriters. He’s performed at The Rifflandia Festival, The Tongue on the Post Folk Festival and won Rawlco Radio’s 10K20 grant while playing alongside Vince Vaccaro, Aidan Knight, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald and Chad Van Gaalen.

Sidney York http://www.sidneyyork.com/

I was always a band geek as a kid,” reveals independent avant-pop artist/envied multi-instrumentalist Sidney York (aka Brandi Sidoryk) through a wry smile.

With even a cursory glance at this velvety-voiced enchantress—let alone catching a whisper of her ambrosia-laden music—one can hardly imagine York as the obligatory bespectacled outcast devoted to orchestral rehearsals.

Revered for her abilities as an enigmatic vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, ukelele and French horn player as well as an unyielding Do It Yourself mentality, in three brief years York has levelled the world of music with a stunning independence exemplified on her eponymous 2009 debut. A rousing bastion of haunting melodies, insightful lyrics and innate creativity, Sidney York epitomizes the union of inspired creativity, dexterous ability and arresting longevity.

At that, York prepares to obliterate all previous expectations, connotations and anticipation with sophomore opus Apocalyptic Radio Cynic. Delving further into her innate ability to intertwine disparate genres seamlessly, the album's 10 songs assert the advantages of being that orchestral aficionado.

“Lacing my music with oboe, bassoon and French horn is proof that band geeks are cool,” she continues. “I've always loved woodwind quintet and to join that sound into my new indie pop world moves me, makes me giddy and makes me smile.”
