Obey The Fist is a hard rock and metal group based out of Calgary, AB. The band name represents human lifestyle and the variety of controls that exist in society. Songwriting is not confined to but is habitually weighted against religion, government, laws, and media influence. The band also draws on personal experiences for inspiration. In March of 2010 they released a debut album entitled "Viral Nation" (Alchemy Studios) Described by the band, Viral Nation is an initial test of their musical waters. It's an introduction to what this band combination would be capable of. After a brief prairie tour, the band recorded a small chapter of music in September, 2010. The sophomore effort, "Epidemic Of Reason" was recorded at Echo Base Studios. "We really focused on making the songs say something this time. It's easy to cut and paste 10 ideas together with metaphors and loose interpretation. This project is 5 songs with each message loud and clear." They plan to tour western Canada following the release, work out a music video, and continue their high-powered musical endeavors.
