Dr. Hook with Dirt Road Dust
Thu, Jun 23

Time: 8:30 -11:30 p.m.

Tickets: $35

The legendary pop/rock/country group Dr. Hook will take to the stage in Joe’s Garage on Thursday, June 23rd. The band known as Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show compiled a string of hits in the 70’s and 80’s. Songs like Sylvia’s Mother, On the Cover of the Rolling Stone, Only Sixteen, Sexy Eyes, and When You’re In Love With a Beautiful Woman are just a few of the band’s classics, all of which were million seller singles. The concert will feature original front man for Dr. Hook, Ray Sawyer. Ray sings with an intensity and sense of conviction that truly moves audiences. His trademark eyepatch resulted from a 1967 auto accident which left him without his right eye, but only intensifies his on stage presence.

The band is touring in Ireland this February, will appear at the huge music festival, “Silja Rock” in Stockholm Sweden in May, and then in June as part of their Canadian tour will be brought to Lethbridge by Average Joe’s Sports Bar. The Dr. Hook with Ray Sawyer concert will start at 8:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 23rd in Joe’s Garage. Tickets for the event are $35.00 each, and can be purchased at Average Joe’s Sports Bar at 420 6th Street South. For more information call 403-942-2563.
