Aunts and Uncles are a Vanocuver indie rock/ pop band formed in March of 2009, combining members from an eclectic mix of bands, including the SSRIs, Like Animals Again, and The Barcelona Chair. We don’t really sound like any of those bands when we play together.  We are a genre-blending trio with indie, folk, baroque, pop, and rock elements that we tend to display one at a time, or all at once, depending on the song. We accompany our vocals with a baritone guitar, a violin, drums, and a glokenspiel...and sometimes we add some ukulele and keyboards just for fun!  In the past year, we've been fortunate enough to have played with some amazing bands, including Angelo Spencer, Collapsing Opposites, Fanshaw, Ford Pier, Hermetic, Hot Panda, Kellarissa, Rose Melberg, Olenka and her Autumn Lovers, The Pack A.D., The Luyas, Efterklang, Dan Mangan, Ladyhawk, and The Wintermitts.  Here are some reviews from a few nice and creative strangers:
