Description

8 p.m.  The Keister  Family Fiddlers http://www.keisterfamilyfiddlers.com/ are four sisters aged 14, 12 and 9 year old twins make up this energetic and dynamic family fiddling group from Chestermere, Alberta.  We have had many exciting opportunities to play our music and enjoyed meeting a lot of wonderful people, who continue to inspire us with their positive feedback. We play fiddles, hand made spoons and ugly sticks with our Mom accompanying us on her guitar.  We have also started singing and clogging to some of our fiddle tunes.  Our Dad overlooks our schedule, controls our sound and manages to gets us to our gigs on time. Entertaining audiences with our music is what keeps us motivated to practice and continue to work hard.

9 p.m. Whiskey Jane http://www.whiskeyjane.com Whiskey Jane is Rock 'n Roll in a cowboy hat!!

Formed in the spring of 2006 in Vancouver, BC, this high energy/big attitude band has quickly become a fixture in the West Coast country scene. With influences ranging from Gretchen Wilson and Sugarland to Big and Rich and Aerosmith, Whiskey Jane brings a fresh and exciting approach to New Country.

After only a few months, Whiskey Jane was, and still is, in demand in all the A-List venues in British Columbia and Alberta.

“Whiskey Jane is one of the best new, young country bands in the Lower Mainland. The energy of the band is infectious - everyone is on their feet by the end of a Whiskey Jane show! This band is going places.. Keep an eye on them! You’ll be seeing a lot of Whiskey Jane in the future!” Don Buchanan (President, Notable Entertainment)

Featuring Natalye Vivian and Amber Locker sharing lead vocals, Kirby Kaye (Guitars, Banjo, Mandolin, keys, vocals), Donny Ducharme (bass) and Rafe Haines (drums, Vocals); the group combined their experience and talent to produce the Whiskey Jane sound. WJ finished recording their debut album at Topspinn Studios (Vancouver, BC) produced by Kirby Kaye with mix and overdubs done at Hipposonic Studios with John Webster.

With their debut single "Summertime" reaching #23 on the top 30 in their hometown of Vancouver, and hitting #83 on the Canadian top 200. Not too bad for an Indie band!

Whiskey Jane's 2nd single “Try” is currently being played coast to coast. The album "Things Left Unsaid" was officially released in January 2009, although “Summertime” was released late summer of 2008. In September of 2008, the band did a killer performance at the BCCMA awards show that everyone was talking about. Their 3rd single is slated this year for a May release.

This year is mounting up as a big one for Whiskey Jane!

Some of the highlights include opening for Terri Clark at Cloverdale Rodeo, Merrit Mountain Music Festival, Calgary Stampede and headlining Lethbridge Exhibition as well as Peachfest in Penticton. Many others as well. The band is on the road all this summer and booked up till the end of the year.

In March of 2009, Kirby Kaye and Natalye Vivian were invited to do some writing for Canadian Idol 1st runner-up, Jaydee Bixby. The result was a song called “Hard to love you” featured on Jaydee’s top 10 debut, “Guitars and Cadillac’s”, produced by John Webster and Bill Buckingham.

Whiskey Jane’s live show is a Must See. Big Vocals, Big Guitars, Big Drums with high energy to Burn!

Their Album “Things Left Unsaid” reflects the band perfectly. Great song writing and hooks, awesome Vocals and goes from traditional country to flat-out Rockin” New Country!Enjoy the album and thanks for listening
