A day in the life at an office job; spending a night away from a loved one; finding hope in overwhelming circumstances. These are the songs that come from Winnipeg born singer/songwriter Marc Ross. Simple. Honest. Unpretentious. Ross began his first public musical effort when he fronted Winnipeg based band Elyon between 2003-2007. Here Ross developed much as a live performer. In 2007 Marc collaborated with Winnipeg's Jodi King on a 6 track EP entitled 'music for The arborist'. 2008-2010 found Ross performing in Winnipeg's circuit with acts like Jodi King, Matt Epp and Quinzy. Ross also joined Jodi King's band 'The Wolves' and performed as a special guest on several of her Canadian tours. In July of 2010 Ross joined forces with Winnipeg's own Juno / Grammy award winning producer Adrian Bradford and recorded what became his debut EP "Blue Sky Behind". Since the release of the EP Ross hit the ground running. Performing over 80 shows across Canada in the year following the release, Ross' ambition and determination are easily seen. This ambition has propelled his debut single "Just Another Day" onto Canadian radio, even debuting as high as #13 on college radio. Musically, Marc draws inspiration from a diverse spectrum of influences including Paul McCartney, John Mayer, and Johnny Cash. With a knack for melody and lyrics that are accessible, Marc Ross is one up-and-comer you won't want to miss. Marc Ross is currently based in Vancouver, BC.
