Alex Boisselle is a Roots/Blues/cajun/canadiana slide guitar/harmonica singer/songwriter recently signed to the EAR DRUM VALLEY label. He was picked out of a nationwide demo submission in the summer of 2009 and was awarded a label funded recording deal including mixing, mastering and promotion.

With his group Ashbury Train, Alex recorded the album in Calgary in November 09 with a producer and mobile studio. The recording sessions went so well and the music was so appreciated by the label that the group was approved for another recording in the coming years.

The recent success of this artist is a culmination of 10 years honing songwriting and performance skills and working through seemingly insurmountable odds [Alex sustained an injury in 2005 destroying his chord hand and was forced to become a slide player and completely reinvent his playing and writing style].

the artist played 120 shows in 2011, solo and with band including 8summer concert series and several good canadian festivals. alex was also awarded a cjsw recording package for 2012 and is currently recording and booking. for the 2012 season. the ashbury train is a constant evolutuion of sound, currently featuring electric violin/wawa, accordion, lapslide/ harmonica bass and drums. the current line up is a musr see live act, a vibrant and entertaining mix of roots canadiana..
