After a few years spent bringing some dynamics to Alberta's punk and metal scene Jeff Pike moved to BC's Okanagan valley in 2007. He started performing solo acoustic under the name of Windborn. Windborn has essentially been a one man band with other musicians joining here and there. Over the first 5 years Windborn has become a solid name in BC's music scene. In 2010 Jeff released an EP called Radiate and a full length album in 2011 called Spitting Bullets. Spitting Bullets has been featured on radio stations, podcasts, soundtracks and compilations all over north america. Once this base was developed it was time to start some serious touring. Right before christmas in 2011 Jeff packed everything into storage but his music gear and started touring full time playing 20 concerts every month all over western Canada. What was going to be a two month tour turned into a 4 month tour in which 400 copies of the Spitting Bullets album were sold.

Jeff has always loved doing the one man band thing. There's something special about rocking a pub full of people with a kick drum and an acoustic guitar. As fun as it is there has always been one instrument Jeff has wanted to add to Windborn...

In April 2011 Jeff did a concert in Winnipeg, MN where he met Nils Loewen. Nils was actually the promoter for the venue and had booked Jeff. He also turned out to be a cellist. After a few jams with Nils in Winnipeg Jeff got back on the road to finish up the tour. Nils decided he would move to the Okanagan to lay cello tracks on the next album and join Windborn. The new album, Measures,  is set to be released in the end of September 2012 followed by a year of north american touring as the newest form of Windborn.
